Terms of Use
Last updated 10 September 2026
EmberTimer is run by Minh Nguyen in the Netherlands. By using it you agree to these terms. They're intentionally short and written in plain language.
Using the app
EmberTimer is free to use for personal focus, habit and task tracking. There is nothing to pay and no subscription. If we ever add a paid option, we'll tell you before anything changes for you. Please don't try to break it, resell it, or use it to harm other people.
Age
You need to be at least 16 to use EmberTimer.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself — you're responsible for what happens on your account. We may suspend an account that is being used to abuse or damage the service.
Your content
Your tasks, habits and notes belong to you. You give us only the permission needed to store and show them back to you. You can delete your account and all of its content at any time from Settings → Account.
Our content
The app itself, the EmberTimer name and the logo belong to us. Please don't copy or rebrand them.
Assistant connections and other services
You can connect an outside AI assistant to your account if you want to. Those services have their own terms, and we're not responsible for what they do with what you send them.
Not medical advice
EmberTimer supports focus and routine building. It is not a medical device, not an emergency service, and does not provide diagnosis or treatment for ADHD or any other condition.
Availability and your data
We work to keep EmberTimer online and your data safe, but the app is free and provided as is, without warranties. Syncing can fail and offline devices can fall behind, so please don't rely on EmberTimer as your only copy of anything important. We may change or discontinue features over time.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost data, lost time or indirect losses from using a free app. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited.
Phone app
If you install the phone app, your app store's terms also apply. The app may ask for notification permission; you can refuse or withdraw it in your device settings.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. You can stop using EmberTimer and delete your account at any time.
Law
Dutch law applies, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless consumer law in your own country gives you a different right.
